VCenter Server 4.1

Hi,

I've got a little problem : My Vcenter server was installed on a Windows server which is domain member "domain1.forest1".

The server change the domain and the forest. The new one is "domain2.forest2".

Now, I can't use "search inventory". A message tell me that it is impossible to be connected to the web service. Must I do something more after domain/forest migration ?

Thank you for your help,

Olivier

Hi,

According to this KB : VMware KB: After changing the domain of vCenter Server, the VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservi...

Can you try this :

  1. From the vSphere Client, navigate to vCenter Server Settings > Advanced Settings .
  2. Update these attributes with the correct FQDN of vCenter Server:

    VirtualCenter.VimApiUrl : https://<vCenter Server FQDN> :443/sdk
    VirtualCenter.VimWebServicesUrl : https://<vCenter Server FQDN>:8443/vws

  3. Restart the VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices service. For more information, see Stopping, starting, or restarting vCenter services (1003895) .

Hope it helps,

Yes ! When the server reboot, the service starts automaticly. The last time, i reboot the server check if all services are running and wait a night. The next day, the problem persists...
