VCenter Console for Non-Administrators

We are thinking about giving a VCenter Console to our developers. I am trying to see how others handle this in terms of types of permissions given to the DEV folks.

I figure we can give them permission to bounce and turn off their test servers. Is this a pretty standard practice across other companies?

Do some go further with permissions?

Thanks, Morrisos

however you are going to set roles and permissions, I would recommend creating a folder in the VM and Templates View, putting all the DEV VM's in there and applying setting the permissions on that folder. This way when your developers log in to vCenter they only see the contents of the folder you created, and nothing else.
