Hi Guys,
we have our Vcenter (4.1.0 Build 491557) DB running on a remote MS-SQL-Server. For a planned System-Maintenance the SQL Server will not be available for one hour during that time, unfortunately sad but true 😞
To make sure that VCenter is not trying to use its DB during that time, I plan to shutdown all VCenter Services before the DB-Maintenancae Window starts. After the SQL-DB is back online I would simply
start-up the VCenter Services again.
What do you think about this approach? Is this feasible? Do I miss anything?
Hope to hear from you....Andy
You are on right track :
Start the VC service
Do the maintenance on the SQL server
Once done, check the connectivity and start the VC service.

Thanks JD. Just wanted to make sure 🙂
