VCenter 2.5 Update 6 and Windows 7

Greetings,

After successful upgrade of VCenter 2.5 update 5 to update 6 I am still unable to see any Windows 7 OS choices when deploying a new VM. Part of the upgrade feature was that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 OS's would be "visible" to deploy new VM's. The strange thing is this, Windows Server 2008 shows up in the list, but there's no sign of any flavor of Windows 7. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for any help,

Greg

We need to look @ virtual center compatibility only when it comes to Guest Customization...not when deploying a new VM..Compatibility of VM is completely dependent on host version you are using.

Windows 7 is fully supported in ESX 3.5 Update 5....Please refer below matrix...

http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?action=search&deviceCategory=software&advancedORbasic=advanced&maxDisplayRows=50&key=Windows+7&productId=-1&datePosted=-1&partnerId[]=-1&os_bits=-1&os_use[]=-1&os_family[]=-1&os_type[]=-1&rorre=0#notes

Thanks Troy,

It appears that we are on Update 4 and not 5. (sigh) I guess I should have RTFM better.
