VCenter 2.5 U4 / ESX3.5 HA problems

Hi,

Recently it seems as if my HA is not working correctly. I have 2 ESX hosts (ESX1 and ESX2) in a cluster. If I enable HA it seems like either it shows an error on ESX1 or ESX1 has a Summary status of HA agent is enabling HA but message does seem to go away. I tried disabling HA and ESX2 had a error with that. Something seems a little off here and just wondering if anyone has some thoughts on this scenario. HA did work fine up until I either installed Update 4 or when we had some brief network trouble (both happened when a week of each other).

Do I need to restart the ESX hosts or is there a command line option to restart a particular module without migrating the VMs off the hosta and rebooting the host.

You should not need to restart the host. Try disabling and re-enabling HA on the Cluster level

I think it is okay now. I had to ensure to disable DRS and HA and then I reenabled HA by itself and then enabled DRS once HA had completed.....looks okay now.
