We have two vcenter 6.7 U3 servers in enhance link mode setup. We are moving a datacenter where vcenter-B to another location. I have to change the IP of the ESXi hosts as well as the vcenter. Both the vcenter and ESXi hosts are with FQDN. The vcenter server is using a certificate from the internal root CA. I guess there will not be an issue with the certificate since the FQDN remains the same. I will not have VAMI access, so I have to change the IP via console. I would appreciate any input on this.
Hey ,
Changing vCenter ip can be done by following the below article
Since the system name is FQDN and also certificates doesnt have IP requirements as mandatory . So this can be achived .
I will not have access to HTTP:// New-or-FQDN/vsphere-client once I moved the equipment to the new location because the vcenter will be power down with the old IP. The browser connection will not stay alive if i perform the ip change in the old location. I will only have access to the console via a hosting ESXi host. I have to do this via console, not ssh either.
Why powered off
once you change the IP browser connection will be gone .
you can relogin again . You can change via console as well.

Thanks, I have to do ALT+F2 in my case. I hope that will work for me. I will have another issue with ESXi hosts vpxa.cfg might be pointing to the old VCSA's IP; hence ESXi hosts will be in a disconnected state. I hope the reconnect ESXI will fix.

Command in the link applies to 6.7 U# or old version?
