VCSA 6.7 Does not see patches when scanned from ISO

Morning all

We have a few vCenters and external PSCs all are sepparate none are in linked mode.

Currently at ver 6.7.0.31100 (which is I beleive 6.7 u2b)

Wanted to go to latest and greatest update and patch U3j.

So downloaded the .ISO in the normal manner mounted it to the PSC and rescanned vCenter returns "No Updates Found" which is obviously rubbish.

Also tried mounting the .ISO from a physical box via a VMRC session again vCenter picks nothing up.

Tried the same on 2 other PSCs same deal.

As there is no intenet connectivity from our core i cant scan the vMware repository.

I dont really want to run the install commands on a total of 40 different appliances...

Ive never seen this before, really feels like a bug to me anyone seen anything simmilar..?

Cheers all

Hi

Once you have the 6.7 U3j patch mounted to PSC and vCenter:   'VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.7.0.45000-16708996-patch-FP.iso'

VMware patch download center --> https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/patch

Select vC from the Select a Product drop-down menu

Either run these commands via SSH to check if it works:

software-packages stage --iso

software-packages list --staged

software-packages install --staged

and then try from VAMI

Check for and Stage Patches to the vCenter Server Appliance

Hope that helps

Sure I could run the command line but would rather not ...

If its a bug i may well set up a custom repository and use the zip file
