VCSA 5.5 Maximum Host Limits - soft or hard limits?

I have a VCSA 5.5 using an embedded database. Documentation shows that the embedded database has a limit of 100 hosts per VCSA. When I built the VCSA, I was aware of this 100 host limit and calculated that I would not reach the limit. However, with recent organizational changes, I will be reaching that 100 host limit in the next month.

I would prefer to use the embedded database and not an external database (which has higher limits) for administrative purposes. Does anyone know if this 100 host limit is a soft limit (meaning I can add more than 100 hosts) or a hard limit (meaning it will not let me add the 101st host)?

Thanks in advance,

Tanya

It is my understanding that it is  a soft limit -

I also understand this as a soft limit. However it's the supported maximum, so you may risk to run into trouble in case something happens that requires support from VMware!?
