Hi, I have install VC4.0 but found that the services failed to start. Even I tried to install using MSDE or MSSQL also the same. Anyone have this exprience?
Do you have IIS installed on your vCenter Host Server? If so, it conflicts with port 80, so you will need to stop IIS. If not, have you checked event viewer to see if there are any helpful errors?
What is the OS 2k3 or 2k8. Is the server domain controller? in 2008 and dc there is a port conflict and Vcenter can be installed but will not run while the ad componants are installed.
