VC highly available ?

Is there any possibility to make the VC highly available ?

For example in a cluster like I want to use it? Is such an environment supported by vmware?

Is it useful to install the VC-Service on a VM itself ?

Virtual Center in a vm is an option. It will depend on the load you put through it and the size of your hosts but is a very common approach to solving this issue. HA continues to work in the absence of VC so no issue there. Here is a doc on the subject: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_vc_in_vm.pdf
