VC Custom Attributes

Hey Guys,

we're running mutiple ESX 3.0.2 Host and VC 2.5U2 in our VI.

I've setted up Global Custom Attributes because it perfectly fits

out needs. And I've added a lot of important data.

The problem is if I unregister und reregister a VM the Data is gone.

Only the Note stays because its saved in the vmx.

Why do VC dont link the Custom Attributes with the UUID of the VM?

Or is this only available if the hosts running 3.5?

Its the same behaviour when having 3.5u2 hosts only. The custom attributes are only stored at the VC. If you unregister a VM all information on the VC are deleted. The same happends when removing a host from a cluster and using cutoms host attributes.
