VC 4.0 on Windows 2008 64bit SQL 2008 64bit

Ok so doing a clean install of VC4.0 and thought i would give it a go on the latest OS and SQL

i have a seperate vm for VC and one for SQL

so installing i get to the point where i have to load up the 32bit DSN and i create an ODBC connection to the slq server, thisgoes through ok but the VC installer tells me i am using the wrong driver !! i am using the"sql server" driver.

anyone got it working.

OK had to download the native driver on to my Windows 2008 box hosting the VC

it can be found here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=228de03f-3b5a-428a-923f-58a033d316e1&displ...

also make sure you create the ODBC connection using the 32bit app, windows/sysWOW64/odbcad32.exe

all working now :smileymischief:
