VC 2.5 service will not start

I have 2.5.0-64201 installed on W2003R2 SP2, connected to Oracle 10G

All connectivity ODBC and install was fine. ( after several false starts with DBA permissions etc)

The Service refuses to start , manually or automatic with an event i.d. 1000, I can not find what this error means, it's not described in the eventviewer.

Can anyone assist ?

Check the log files for the service - Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs\. You can also try to start the VC service application manually by running vpx -s.

ODBC error: (HY000) - [ODBC][Ora]ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (_^‹Ý]‹M U‹ëù) exceeded

I increased the limit to a 1000 connection, and it works
