VC 2.5 oracle Database error

Hi all,

after upgrading the VIC server repository the error: The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( VMware VirtualCenter Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: An unrecoverable problem has occurred, stopping the VMware VirtualCenter service. Check database connectivity before restarting. Error: Error[VdbODBCError] (-1) "ODBC error: (HY000) - [ODBC][Ora]ORA-12704: character set mismatch

" is returned when executing SQL statement "INSERT INTO VPX_EVENT_ARG (EVENT_ID, ARG_ID, ARG_TYPE, ARG_DATA, OBJ_TYPE, OBJ_NAME) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)".

Oracle is running on hp-ux and its version is 9.2.0.8

Many thanks

D.

You need to change the driver, on the ODBC drive.

You can download Just a ODBC drive on the Oracle site.
