Using the Lcoal HDA

Dear All :

I installed VMware ESX Server 2.5.3 in my test environment and I don't have a SAN connected to the server but I have about 80 Gbytes locally available ...

how can I add my /dev/hda2 to the available storage so that I can create a Virtual Storage to create some tes tVirtual Machines ?

Log into the MUI (https://ip-of-your-esx2) with root account and go to the storage options to add a volume.

Must be on a recognized SCSI controller to provide storage for VMFS

You asked how to add it... But anyways...

I assume there is no other FS on that 80G partition, right!?

Can you post output from the disk configuration including "vdf -h" and the MUI part "Storage Management"?
