Using NFS Datastores for writing Clone information

We have a VI3 Cluster with ESX 3.0.2 ESX servers. We would like to be able to create an nfs datastore

to hold our system clones. Our corporate NFS server require NIS user access and automounting. How

do I any of that through Virtual Center or do I do it through the ESX server itself? What abilities do I have

with VirtualCenter itself.?

All you need from your corp NFS server is a exported volume to your ESX hosts. Then all you need is the NFS server IP, and the path to the export and define the datastore through the Virtual Center Console. You will use the user "root", so NIS is not required.
