Upgrading from 4.0.0 to 4.0 U3

I am attempting to upgrade from 4.0.0 to 4.0.U3 and I got the following error:

Setup has detected that this vCenter server is being used by the following registered extension(s).

VMware Converter Enterprise for VirtualCenter

The extensions are not compatible once vCenter Server gets upgraded to version 4.0.0.15751.  Please upgrade the above extension(s) to a compatible version.

Does this mean I should go ahead with the upgrade and install the version that came with release 3? I want to be sure as this is my first time.

Yes, if installer allow you proceed with upgrade, upgrade vCenter first, second do vCenter converter upgrade (basically upgrade will uninstall old version and install new one).
