Upgrading Virtual Centre

I am looking to upgrade my virtual centre from V4 update 2 to V4 update 3,  My virtual centre is running as a virtual machine.

Is this a small upgrade and any known issues, as I have many esx hosts connected, and datacentre and resource pools setup.  So dont want to lose any settings.   I will backup the database, but was also told to take a snaphot of the virtual machine just in case.  Is it worth taking this snapshot, can you roll back with this snapshot.

Any other advice on the upgrade.

so if my virtual centre upgrade got screwed in some way, how would i use the snapshot to roll back, what if i could not log onto virtual centre as the upgrade has messed things up.   Also would i need to restore my database, or are there are no major changes in the database in this upgrade.

you can login directly to the ESXi/ESX using vsphere client and from there do a rollback of the snapshot ..
