Upgrade problem - Update manager

Logging in to VC I get this error: "

The VMware Update Manager cannot accept requests now because VirtualCenter server cannot be reached, or the database cannot be reached, or it is in the process of stoping"

Any tips ?

Did you resolve this, I am getting the same message when I log into my virtual center using VMIC.

I went to the VMIC U3 cd and ran the update manager install and chose remove. The repeated and reinstalled update manager. Selecting the reinitialize option which I believe uses the same database but clears it and sets it up again.

It appears to be working now.

Thanks, din not know about the reinitialize option. We had to reinstall the server and the VC software... Now it works.
