When we use the webinterface to access vcenter, everything works fine except opening a console is not possible. Then we receive the error:
Unable to connect to the MKS: Host address lookup for server failed: No such host is known.
The hosts are added to our external DNS server. The problem is that the application searches for the host name without the DNS suffix. When we add the servers to the host file the problem is solved, but that is not an aceptable solution.
How can we make sure that the webinterface will lookup the complete host name, so:
servername.domain.nl
instead of just
servername
