Unable to open console with VC 2.0.2

Hi,

Working with ESX 3.0.2 and VC 2.0.2, we are unable to open a console page for each virtual machine via the VI3 client, the client reports on the virtual machines (CPU, Memory and State) but when we try open a console to the virtual machine the below error appears:

"Error Connecting: Host address lookup for server ESXHOST.DOMAIN.LOCAL failed: The requested name is valid but no data is found".

This was originally working, but is now no longer.

Please help.

It looks like you have a DNS problem.

Check that all systems are able to resolve "esxhost.domain.local".

Hi,

The Virtual Center server was configured to point to an old dns server ip address.
