Unable to add a ESX2.5 Host to vCenter Server 4

Hello I just installed a new vSphere environment and since I still own a couple of old ESX 2.5 servers, I'd like to add them to vCenter to speed up migration, but when I try to add them, the vCenter keep asking for a license server. ESX 2.5 machines had no need for a license server so I cannot comply to this request.

What I can do to avoid this problem? I must install a license server? or some upgrade for ESX2.5 servers?

I'm not very knowledgeable around ESX 2.5, but if you are going to manage anything other than ESX(i)4 server you will need to configure a license server.

Click on the top toolbar, AdministrationvCenter Server SettingsLicense Server.

Even though you can manage a 2.5 host with vCenter 4.0, you probably have to find anohter means to license it. If that means a license server, you will have to configure one.

...but the above license server may not work.....

I checked the old documents and I'm pretty sure that my ESX 2 licenses only came as serial number, I have no .lic file to add to the License Server...
