Testing environment

Silly question - I've set up 2 esx servers on identical hardware in testing environment. Since those are just 2 powerful PC boxes - there is no shared storage.

Would it be possible to test-drive esx the cluster somehow without having shared storage but having identical hardware?

you can create a cluster, but you won't have vMotion, HA and DRS because shared storage is required. So, with local storage there really is no benefit in creating a cluster.

...but you may also think about something like OpenFiler.
