vCenter

I am trying to release an ESX server's license. In doing so I am recieving an error of "Unable to change license state as the license server is not available".

The steps I am taking are going through VirtualCenter, and through the Licensed Features menu selecting "Use Evaluation Mode" instead of the current option of "Use Server License". Thats when I am recieving the error message above. The license server if up and running, I've restarted the ESX server and the VirtualCenter/License server. I've checked DNS and everything is fine there, I just can't release the license. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Does it allow you to change it to "Unlicensed" under ESX Server License Type on the Licensed Features page?

That should release the license according to section 5 on page 51 of http://vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35u2/vi3_35_25_u2_installation_guide.pdf
