This maybe be as stupid questions but I haven't found much information on how to install plugins. I know that to install the Update Manager you need to install it on the VirtualCenter and enable it on each of the clients. Does all plugin have to be installed this way?
I not sure what I'm doing wrong but I downloaded the msi file and ran it on my test VC but I don't see any extra tabs or or menu items to take advantage of the plugin. Actually I don't see any signs that I have installed the plugin.
If your looking for the sVMotion plugin in particualr (Which does NOT come with VC 2.5, here is another site as well.

are you talking about the VCMS install? If so, when you run the install, choose custom, you will see the available plugins. Put a check mark by all the plugins you want installed. If you are going to use Update Manager, it should be isntalled on it's on server, with it's own db
hope this helps.

Thank you to everyone who wrote back. After looking at all the links I figued I what I did wrong. I didn't realize the remoteCLI is a different install from the VC 2.5 default install.
