Smart Card login to Web Console (VC)

Does anybody know how to enable the use of Smartcards with the web interface. CAC login is required in our environment to login to servers. I would like for a user to click on the link I provide them for their VM and when prompted for credentials at the "VMware Virtual Infrastructure Web Access" dialogue box have the option of using their CAC.

Any suggestions?

I'm in a similar(ish) boat. Unfortunately, there isn't currently any smart card support.

Do you have a reverse proxy like an MS ISA Server in place?

You can test publishing the server with isa, you don't get a single sign on etc.

However you need to be sure that the VC/ESX host does not allow arbitrary connections directly to its web interface without first going through the proxy. For the ESX side that is pretty straightforward to do with the Apache configuration files. FOr the VC side it is a little bit trickier.
