Slow mouse performance in console after upgrade of VC from 4.0 to 4.1

As if the upgrade to 4.1 wasn't difficult enough, now I have poor mouse performance in the console after the upgrade. Vmware tools was not updated but, I did a reapair on tools ..... no dice. I did an uninstall of tools and a re-installs .... still having issues. Any suggestions?

I've ran into the same issue on a windows 2008 and windows 2008 R2 VM. I noticed that after I upgraded tools it didn't update the Display adaptor. I updated the standard display adaptor drivers and pointed it to the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\Drivers". I had to reboot but it did the trick.

Same here. All of my VMs are WIN2003 SP2 (32 and 64 bit). Tried all the tricks. Latest tools, etc...No improvement. The problem started immediately after the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade. Has anyone solved this yet?

In fact it is the solution posted above and it worked for me.

It seems that upgrading Vmware tools worked.  I had fixd this a while ago but forgot to mark the thread as closed.

We are experiencing the same issue, we have tried everything.    On our hosts we are at 4.1.0,348481

Does anyone have any updates to this issue?    On VM OS is windows 2008.
