After upgrading to vCenter 4.1 from 4.0 hte setup has changed my recovery model from simple to Bulk-logged, which has caused my transactions log to grow rapidly.
Just to be 100% sure, can I change to simple recovery on the fly without restarting vCenter service?
As described in this kb it is a well known issue.

It is easy to change it a can be done on-the-fly without interrupting vCenter.
Some info about the recovery model: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175987(SQL.90).aspx
This is supposedly fixed in 4.1U1 yet I still have the issue. I am doing an upgrade using the latest vCenter 4.1U1 installer to upgrade vCenter 4.0U2. It switches from simple to bulk logging during the upgrade process and fills up my log drive. I am running vCenter and the DB on separate Win 2k8 servers. I am going to have to add storage just to get through the upgrade so that I can change it back to simple afterwards.
