Please forgive if this is the wrong discussion group to ask this in, and possibly point me in the direction of the correct one.
However I am using vSphere CLient 4.0 on a VMWare vCentre 4.0 Server and the process does not seem to match.
I have so far failed to find a more up to date version of the doc above and am falling at the first hurdle of setting the Disks to "undoable" any advice about this such as if it is: a change in terminology; no longer doable; or otherwise, would be very gratefully received
This might be the issues with the document, "This tech tip is applicable to VMware Workstation 3.x and VMware GSX Server 2.0."
If you want to do this is vCenter, create a new VM and install the guest OS and other software. When you have it like you want it, convert it to a template. From here you can create any number of new VMs by cloning from template.
Thanks for the info, as far as I can tell, using machine as a template will not allow me to share the base disk with mutliple "delta disk logs"for each machine based on it
