Setting up SMTP Email Message notification

Im trying to setup Email Message SMTP Alarm notification on my VC mgmt Server.

When i open my VC Client and i see my datacenter, cluster, esx hosts i try go Administration-->Server Settings (as it say in manual) but i dont have Server Settings on my menu. Any idea why?

Also when i go to define SNMP infromation on File-->VirtualCenter Settings i dont have this selection either.

What could be wrong?

Thanx Smiley Happy

Hello,

Administration menu -> VirtualCenter Management Server Configuration.

To set the defaults for servers:

Select Mail

Edit your config

Select SNMP

Edit your config

Then you can use SNMP/Mail based Alarms.

Best regards,

Edward

Hi, which version of virtualcenter do you use?

In 2.x Server setting has the name VirtualCenter Management Server Configuration in the administration menu.
