On vcenter 4.1, searching for ESX3.5 host (version may be irrelevant), I notice that FindByUuid method is unable to find the host if the UUID is specified in all caps. The same UUID when converted to all lower-case works fine.
But I'm unable to repro this behavior on all vcenters - it happens only on a particular vcenter. Anyone has a clue? The documentation doesn't mention anything. Perhaps there is a configurable setting at vcenter/esx level that's affecting this (hard to imagine)...
