I know that Windows 2008 has a whole different way of syspreping, but has anything changed for Windows 2003 64 bit?
Do I need to install a different sysprep for 64 bit and 32 bit? Do I also need to install a different sysprep for windows XP?
all your sysprep files need to be located on your vCenter Host Server.
...and for W2K8, as of 2.5.0U4, I believe, you can sysprep W2K8, but there are no files needed on your vCenter Host Server. You will create your "gold" image, shut it down, convert it to a template, then deploy off that. You can "create a customization spec" then save it for future deployments.
