SSO Local user password expiry

We have created a local account in vsphere.local sso.

but the password for this account is about to expiry.

we do not want password to expire.

So, i followed the article below to make the password non-expiring

https://www.vxav.fr/2018-05-04-set-password-of-an-sso-user-to-never-expire/#:~:text=In%20vCenter%2C%...

But I still see the password expiry prompt when I log into vCenter using this local account.

Is this a bug?

so I can confirm it is bug.

Password did not expired.

It is just that message does not away when you change the password to non-expiry.

Hope it helps someone.

Hi there,

Check the comments on the link you provided. Other people having the same issue and the createor recreated the same. Looks like a bug.

Maybe support can assist you, did you try opening a ticket with them for this?

Not sure whether this is a bug in a given version/build.

Anyway, other than setting the maximum lifetime to "0", you may set it to "9999" to see whether this works.

Support ticket? Smiley Happy

Nicoloas, after the checking the comment, I thought of putting it here. Google searching (it might be wrong) does not index it.
