SQL Edition for Virtualcenter DB

Hi,

Pros and cons for running SQL 2012 Express for the virtualcenter database?, we  have about 300vms and we are thinking of moving our current db to maybe an Express of SQL to save sql licens.

Is that a bad idé?

The SQL Express edition is only supported for up to 5 hosts and/or 50 VMs.
