SQL DB increase per day 138MB

Hello!

?:|

I use VirtualCenter 2.5 U3 with MS-SQLexpress 2005 and four ESX3.5 U1 servers, on each ESX Host I have ten VMs. Each day the VirtualCenter DB increases up to 138 MB. So I must purge the DB every secondly week.

I think this behave in abnormal.

What can I do?

The alarm definition triggers are set insensitive and the reporting frequency is 300 seconds.

THX

Um.. you need more DB space. What happens if you get hit by a train? Noone else will probably know to purge the data. That's VERY low to be that slim on space, not good. You need LOTS of room for SQL, you can do backups, and copies all sorts of stuff.. you still need space to work with.

Hello Anton V Zhbankov and all others!

Yesterday I have set the VirtualCenter logging option from info (normal logging) to warning (errors and warnings). However the DB increase up to 142,37 MB in 24h.

How should I upgrade to MS-SQL Standard. The VirtualCenter Management Server Configuration calculates with my configuration a DB size <2GB.

Thanks!
