SID issues while cloning a VM

i've one windows 2003 enterprise server and onw windows 2000 server on my ESX box. i converted these 2 into templates and straight away deployed them as virtual machines. did i miss out on anything in between? i want 4 VMs on my ESX. how do i change the SID without having to run through the setup all over again?

You need to run SYSPREP on the template and then clone that.

I use NEWSID, formerly from SysInternals, which has now been bought up by Microsoft and can thus be downloaded from their site.

got it thanks.

i ran sysprep on each vm i had cloned. the thing is, i had done the cloning earlier. then ran sysprep on each windows vm machine. then rebooted the vm.

another doubt is, how do you verify that the SID has been changed?

You need to trust the technology.
