Rollback ESX hosts update

Hello

I can't find any information on how to rollback a esx host update.

All i find is "You can take snapshot of a VM before updating for rollback".

But what about rollback function for host update with the update manager?

Need a answer for my change request for updating out hosts. Change manager hates everything that doesn't come with a rollback function.

Hi jenstf,

it is not so easy to uninstall a patch from an ESX host.. you cannot do it with update manager.

if you have a nice an steady installation process for your ESX host.. it's faster and better to do a new installation of ESX.

otherwise you need to downoad the specific patch to your ESX host and try uninstalling it .. best way is to boot your ESX host in linux mode.
