Restore backup from VCSA 7.0.0a to a new VCSA 7.0u1C

Hi,

We have a VCSA  7.0.0a in our VMware environment and 11 ESXi  7.0.0 hosts. We are using scheduled FTP-backup of the VCSA to a FTP server every Friday using the VCSA port 5480.

Is it possible to install a new VCSA 7.0.u1c and restore the FTP-backup from the old VCSA 7.0.0a backup or should the VCSA be the same version and identical?

AFAIK file based backups can only be restored on the exact same vCSA version/build.
