Restarting VirtualCenter causes all ESX to shutdown???

I have a dedicated server running Win 2k3 Server, installed with VirtualCenter 2.5. Recently, I notice that when I restart or shutdown the VC, it will cause all ESX machine to shutdown as well. I'm really puzzled as this have never happen before. Is there any setting or configuration that I can verify? Pls advise.

Are the Hosts showing up as disconnected in the VC inventory? Because they might just become disocnnected and not really shutdown - I do not know of any setting or way to cause this form within Virtual Center. If the hosts are simply becoming disconnected potentially this could be either a network issue -

Are your hosts in a cluster? If yes, is the experimental DPM enabled?

Just a thought...
