Removing advanced options

Right....how do I remove an advanced option, inparticular one from the HA settings? When I try to delete the value or the option name, I get an error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Opening the advanced options dialog box again looks like the option's been deleted, but applying the change and re-opening the settings makes it reappear!

it seems to be a virtual infrastructure client .net problem.

Have you tried from another client?

Yes, I've tried it on 3 machines. All XP Pro. 2 are SP3 and 1 is SP2...

I'm also experiencing the exact problem. I found that you can change the option value, but you cannot delete the option. I opened a case with support and the engineer stated that the problem is a bug and the fix will be released as a patch or in VC 2.5u3.

Workaround 1: Stop VC service and manually remove the entry from the DB.

Workaround 2: Leave the option in place and change the value to the default value.
