I am running vCenter 5 and the p4300 SAN from HP-Lefthand. I would like to register the HP P4000 SAN VASA Provider. I can't find any instructions on how to do this. I am not sure what to enter for this...

But you need to install the Sytems Insight Control for vcenter first and be running it on a hp systems insite manager server.
So basicly follow the document or others it talks about.

Storage vendors provides plugins called vendor providers. These vendor providers sits between vCenter & storage array and retrieves the storage capability information and pass them to vCenter.
Apart from capability discovery, VASA also helps vCenter Admin to get information regarding Storage health status, configuration info & capacity. VASA also plays a very important role for Storage DRS for VM placement recommendations.
Once you register a Vendor Provider, vCenter Server will communicates with the vendor provider to obtain information related to
