Hi,
We are going to install VCSA 6.7 and before the installation, we got some issue to clear out.
When we install VCSA on Windows PC, the VCSA will be installed as appliance and will be able to use from ESXi.
But what happens to the PC that we used to install VCSA? Can we just remove the PC and use VCSA from ESXi once the installation has completed?
Will there be any problem that we just use Windows PC for VCSA installation purpose only?
Aeh..... .may be a little misunderstanding. The VCSA Installer runs on Windows, Linux, OSX BUT the target of the installation is always a ESXi Host and nothing else. The "A" in VCSA stands for Appliance and means a bundled Application (vCenter) + OS (PhotonOS) from a single vendor as a easy to go solution. In term of the VCSA the end is always a VM running on top of ESXi.
So when the installation is finished the installer closed and than of course the PC you choose is not related any more to the VCSA.
The vCenter application also exists for Windows but than its not named VCSA. This windows version is the last one which exists for vSphere 6.7 so dont waste time with vCenter on Windows.

Hi Gawnet,
Windows machine we are using is just to mount the ISO. You can use your own machine just to mount the ISO and run the installer.
Installer.exe will be under CDDRIVELETTER:\vcsa-ui-installer\win32
Once you start the installer, we need to mention the ESXi host where the VCSA VM can be deployed. So don't get confused here.

Hi all,
Thanks for the help!
Right that was just a silly question I know
Of course we are deplying it onto Esxi host. Just wondering what is the purpose of PC other than mounting vcsa file.
thanks for your time
Nothing else, @Gawnet.
It's just to mount the ISO and to run the installer.
