When migrating from ESX 2.5 to ESX 3.01, does it
matter what speed NIC the VirtualCenter server is
running at? I am thinking all the VC server is doing
it telling the ESX servers where to move the files
to.
Having a gig NIC on VC has no affect on the speed of
VM migrations is what I am asking.
That is correct. The speed of vmotion depends on the nic speed on ESX used for vMotion
