I updated the SSL cert (rui.crt, rui.key and rui.pfx) on one of the vCenters I support.
When a user logs on with:
ip Address/ name: shortname correct Cert is displayed
or
ip Address/name: localhost default Cert is displayed
or
ip Address/name: fullyqualifieddomainname default Cert is displayed
Yet I have moved the default rui.crt, rui.key and rui.pfx to another Folder and have also renamed the files.
Can someone explain why we see the default Cert and not get an error? Also why we would get the default Cert with the fullyqualifieddomainname?
