Problem deploying from a 2k8 R2 x64 template

Aloha,

I am trying to deploy a VM from the above said template and having problems. I set up my VM with a specific desktop using BGInfo, specific icons on desktop, specific desktop color and no Service Manager pop-up. When I deploy a VM from it, all that customization is lost. The VM looks as if it was installed from scratch.

Any help is appreciated.

Are you configuring this for "All users"?  Are you using vCenter to do the customisation, or just using a custom sysprep?

Not sure I understand your 1st question, but on the 2nd - everything is done from within VCenter.

Have you set the setting when Sysprepping the VM ?
