Problem With vCenter Cleanup Task

Hi

i am new to this Community and hope this is in the right area, we have a problem with the SQL task EVENT TASK CLEANUP VCENTER

it is failing to run and coming back with the following message

Event and Task cleanup,,Executed as user: CORPORATE\SQL_Service. The DELETE statement conflicted with the SAME TABLE REFERENCE constraint "FK_PARENT_TASK_REF". The conflict occurred in database "vCenter"<c/> table "dbo.VPX_TASK"<c/> column 'PARENT_TASK_ID'. [SQLSTATE 23000] (Error 547)  The statement has been terminated. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 3621).  The step failed.,00:00:06,16,3621,,,,0

i firstly checked the Domain acount is ok. then i checked on the FAQ section on this website and found an entry about checking that the Owners of the job and database schema are the same which they are.

i did a quick bit of research and i believe the problem maybe down to keys on tables conflicting

i would like to add i did not set this job up but i assume it is a default job created by the VCENTER installation.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Note: Thread was moved from the VMware Server 2 forum to the vCenter forum.

See if http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1014893 is of any help.

Good Luck!
