Performance data is not coming for more than 1 day

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to get performance data of ESX host and everything looks fine in getting performance data for realtime and past 1 day. But when I try to get performace data for "Past Week" or "Past month" I am getting message that "Performace Data is not available for this entity".

Can anyone please let me know if there is anything wrong somewhere in configuration? and how can I get performance data for a month?

Thanks.

Check the link I gave you and check to see if you have SQL Server Agent jobs listed

I've experienced a similar issue before - it was due to the SQL Server Agent not running on the SQL server that hosted the VirtualCenter database. I'd check to make sure this is running as it's used for the database queries for performance stats etc.

SQL Server Agent is running. I can also see past 1 day historical data but problem is coming if I try to get more than 1 day data like for a week or month etc. Here is the status of SQL server services -

SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) - running

SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER) - running

SQL Server Active Directory Helper - DISABLED

SQL Server Browser - DISABLEd

SQL Server FullText Search (MSSQLSERVER) - DISABLED

SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) - DISABLED

SQL Server VSS Writer - STOPPED

Thanks.

Do you have the same problem reporting on other ESX hosts?

Do you have any jobs listed under SQL Server Agent? You should have a few....

Also try restarting the VirtualCenter Server service.

Take a look at this thread for some helpful info...

Link was helpful. I got this issue fixed by fixing failed sql jobs due to some authentication issues.

Thanks for your help.
