Performance Tab - No Data available -recreate SQL jobs didn't fix

So I've seen a bit of history of this issue, mainly with older versions, and checked the two fixes:

1. Check the table columns in the DB are set to BIGINT:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1030819

2. Recreate the SQL rollup jobs:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1004382&sl...

I have ESXi5/VC5 and in a cluster of 5 hosts, 2 are reporting performance ok, but 3 are showing Real Time data only, no History.

Can anyone advise where else to look?

Ok so after running out of ideas I restarted the vCenter server and now they're back. My DB is on a seperate SQL server so it must be something on the vCenter server itself that is losing its way.

It continues...

So after the original reboot of vCenter, I had all ESX hosts working fine. The following day, 1 server stopped reporting historical data, the other 4 continued to work. So I restarted the vCenter server again and it came back again.

This morning I've checked once more, and 1 host stopped reporting historical data again. I can see by looking at the 1 day history it worked for about 3 hours after the last reboot then stopped again.

I've just rebooted and it's come back again. We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Anyone have any idea what mechanism vCenter uses to retrieve the historical data from the Database and report it?

So this time around after the last reboot, historical data from 3 hosts (out of 5 in this cluster, 7 in total on the smae vCenter) have stopped only a few hours after the last vCenter reboot. Very frustrating...
