Hi,
I have ESX 3.0.1 running on Dell Servers with Iscsi SAN. I am trying to move one of my VM which is having 30GB, 256 GB and 120 GB disk from 1 filer to another filer but it failed with message 'Operation timed out'. I am using QLogic HBA to access my filers and they all are on Gigabit network.
I tried changing the timeout settings in VC but no luck. below are the last lines in /var/log/vmware/vpx/vpxa.log files...pls suggest the best method to move my VM.

You could use cp using putty? Remove it from the inventory first and copy all the contents of the folder then re register the vmx.
Thanks VMKR9. I wish i could try this but the time cp takes is very high. I contacted VMware support for this and they suggested to restart the management service and try again...doing the same now and will update on how it goes..
I am having the same problem, did you ever figure out how to reslove it?
