One V5.5 SSo server - Two V5.5 vCenters- Upgrade just one vCenter only

I have a V5.5 SSO server "SSOSERVER01" and 2x V5.5 vCenter servers "VCENTER01" & "VCENTER02" and both vCenter servers are using SSOSERVER01 for domain Authentication.

VCENTER01 needs to be upgraded to 6.7U3j.
VCENTER02 is not being used anymore.

In a normal situation like this, you would upgrade the SSO server then upgrade both the vCenters, but since VCENTER02 is no longer required, I plan to power it down and decom it (later) and upgrade the SSO server and VCENTER01 server.

Will I have any issues doing the upgrade this way? Will the SSO server complain during the upgrade, that VCENTER02 is not contactable? If so, can I "unregister" VCENTER02 from the SSO server before the upgrade starts?

Thanks.

Hi @JDMils_Interact

Upgrading SSO server will not have any issues. If you decide to un-register 2nd vCenter, please follow these articles:

Hope that helps
